Undercover Girl

Jesse
"He's cool!" I said.

Cephei
"Do you want to hold him?"

Jesse
I smiled. "Yeah."

Cephei
I opened my mouth as if to say something. It was inaudible to human ears, but I actually made a sound of a dragon. I told Eva to go over to Jesse, for she wasn't dangerous.

Eva
I chirped and flew to Jesse's shoulder. I chirped again.

Rin
"What is that sound!?" I said suddenly, coming out of the hallway. That high pitched... call. It was so mysterious and it peirced my ears.

Cephei
I turned and saw Rin. I waved hello. I signed to Jesse, "Is Rin one of your siblings as well?"

Jesse
"Yep." I smiled. "Hi Rin!"

Rin
"Hey." I said, ignoring the sound from earlier. Might have just been something... I know it wasn't my imagination.

Eva
I chirped again. I lifted off of Jesse's shoulder and started to fly around.

Jesse
"So what's new?" I asked.

Rin
"Haha, nothing. I was just doing some drawings."

Cephei
"Can we see?" I signed with excitement.

Rin
I laughed. "Sure." I led them into my room. The drawings I made were not precise as my others, but the were of myself and a boy version of myself that was drawn in the Japanese's anime style.

Jesse
I smiled. "Beautiful as always, Rin."

Rin
"Thanks." I smiled.

"Jesse, reports from the master. He said that we should tell Cephei of those guys chasing her." I said through the ear device. Being a robot, I didn't need to say it out loud, so nobody heard.

Jesse
"Oh, uh... Cephei, how to put this -- uh.... you know those guys you saw in the parking lot this morning?"

Cephei
I stared at her with wide eyes. "You know..." I signed slowly, "you know them?" It was rude, but Jesse's mind immediately told me everything. "How? Why?"

Jesse
"I don't know, but be careful. They're the ones that are planning on kidnapping you."

Cephei
"How do you know of them?" I asked. "How? Why... didn't you tell me you're part of a spy organization?"

Jesse
"I'm just guessing." I shrugged.

Cephei
"Why didn't you tell me you're part of a spy organization?" I signed again, with somewhat of a more serious face.

Jesse
"Huh? Spy organization?" I asked, feigning confusion.

Cephei
"Do not lie." I signed.

Shell
"Huh? Cast a spell?" I whispered over my shoulder. My shadow nodded. "Very well... Let me see into the very depths of your mind... Mind reader!" I whispered. I connected my mind with the girl's. Her mind was like none other. It seemed to have a hard steel wall defending it.

Cephei
I shot a glare at the girl named Shell. Her mind piercing my own... I could tell she was using magic. "You mustn't do that!" I screeched with my dragon's voice.

Shell
Those words were clear in her head and ringing in my ears. I withdrew my mind quickly, panting. "What the--!?"

Rin
I winced. My own hands flew to my ears as I hurriedly turned them off to let my sound system rest. After a moment I turned them back on. "That sound again..." I growled lowly.

Cephei
"Who are all of you people?" I signed.

Jesse
Hmm. What should I say? I pondered. After a moment, I just shrugged. "What sound?" I asked Rin.

Rin
"I suggest you answer Cephei first before I tell you." I said, my systems looking for the creator of the sound Cephei had produced.

Jesse
"I don't know what you mean. We're people."

Cephei
"Liars!" I signed. I stood up quickly. "I'm leaving!" I started to head my way out.

Jesse
Well, we are people. I thought for a moment. "I don't know. Okay, leave if you want, I guess."

Cephei
I went out of the door. It was raining, but I didn't care.

Rin
"You fool!" I said, whacking Jesse behind her head. "We were not supposed to let her go!"

Cephei
I walked on the sidewalk, rain rapidly beating down on me. I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, seeing those men in black suits. They were running toward me, and fast. I was frightened and started running. I came to the beach, the men still following me. I had no choice. I jumped into the pool of salty water, turning into a dragon so I could breath and swam to the twilight zone of the sea.

They won't find me here, will they?

Jesse
"Liam's helping. He's tailing her right now." I said. "He was supposed to talk to her, but she left too fast."

Liam
"Hey, Jesse, I lost her." I sent her the message through the walkie-talkie-like device.

Jesse
"WHAT?.... HOW? YOU ARE SO DEAD, LIAM."

Liam
"Woah, take it easy, I'll find her soon. But I think those kidnappers are after her, and -- hey!" A loud crack was heard, then silence.

Jesse
"Huh? Hello? Liam?" I said, shaking the walkie talkie. "You there?" I was worried. What was going on?
