Zoey Forest's Summer Camp

Emily
I noticed another girl. "Oh, hello! I'm Emily. I think this is a lizard, but I'm not sure. I saw it in the bushes! It's name is Opal. Do you want to see?" I jumped back.

Serena
"You look familiar..." I said, looking at the girl. Then I shrugged. "Oh well."

Opal
I approached the girl. I could feel I can trust her too.

Sami
"I don't think its a lizard. Usually they flick their tongue out." I said. I petted it as it approached closer.

Emily
"Yeah. And it's too big." I said.

Sami
"So do you know where the main office is? I'm trying to find my cabin and none of the signs say my name."

Serena
"Oh yeah!" I said. "It's in that direction." I pointed towards the small building by the lake. "They have chocolate fudge." I added.

Sabrina
"There are more cabins over by the woods. Did you check there?" I asked.

Sami
"No, but I'll ask the office first. Do you guys want to come with me?" I asked.

Sabrina
"That's why we came out. To take a look at the itinerary and get some chocolate fudge." I began to walk, and my sister and cousins followed.

Opal
I hissed. I wouldn't go near humans I felt I couldn't trust. I slithered into the bushes, lifting off into the sky before Emily could have noticed.

Emily
"Hey, where'd the lizard go?" I said. I looked into the bushes, but there was nothing there. "Oh no, where is it!"

Sabrina
"It probably was hungry, and went to find food. Or maybe it doesn't want to go to the main office."

Serena
I glanced towards the forest. It was amazingly beautiful. A small dirt road was a trail through the forest, cutting between the cabins, but it was surrounded by big, tall, trees reaching up to the blue, cloudless sky. It was truly a breathless sight to see how large the forest was. And in the description, it was described as a "small" forest.

Cindy
"We're here." I said as we came in front of the small building. "I think we eat there." I said, pointing at a building next to it, which had a small cafeteria. I pushed open the glass door of the main office, where a lady behind a desk worked on a computer.

Sami
"S'cuse me, ma'am." I said rather formally. "Do you know which cabin I'm in?" I asked. "Sami Kiire."
I heard her typing, and after a minute she said that there was no "Sami Kiire" registered.
"Can you assign me to a cabin?" I said politely. She agreed, and assigned me to the cabin where Emily, Sabrina, Serene, and Cindy stayed. I thanked her.

"After you guys are done, we can go back to the cabin and drop my stuff off, right?"

Serena
"Yeah." I said. "There's no bunks left, but there's a sofa that's the type you can turn into a bed. You'll have to use that. You ARE okay with that, right?"

Sami
I laughed. "That's fine. I'm used to sleeping on the floor anyways." I said, following them to the machine where chocolate fudge was made.

Serena
I took out a quarter, and slid it through the slot in the machine, and opened the slot, and got 5 squares of freshly made chocolate fudge. "It's 5¢ a square." I explained. "There's one for everyone."

Sami
I smiled. "Alright, let's head back to the cabin." I said, heading for the front door.

We nodded & followed, snacking on chocolate fudge all the while.

As they headed out the front door... swoop! A rainbow "snake" had just jumped and snatched the chocolate from Sami.

Sami
"Ah... hey!" I said, about to eat the fudge just when it disappeared out of my hand. To my side I saw the familiar snake, Opal, munching on the chocolate with the wrapper on the floor. I picked it up, confused, staring at Opal.

Opal
I stared back in response as I gulped down the chocolate. It was quite delicious.

Emily
"Oop!" I laughed. "Here, uh, Sami, right?" I said, handing her my fudge. "Take mine."

Sami
"Haha, no, it's fine, have it." I said. "My, you're a tricky one." I said to Opal. It snorted and crawled toward the cabin. I followed.

Emily
I shrugged. "You sure? Your choice. When I got no reply, I took a small bite of the chocolate fudge, which was amazingly good, probably because it was freshly made.

((I have freshly made chocolate fudge on the brain.))

Opal
I waited outside when we got to the cabin.

Sami
When we got inside the cabin, I put down my stuff and unpacked quickly. "Say, do you wanna go out into the forest, you guys?" I asked.

Serena
"Oh, yes. It looks pretty today!" I said, looking out the view from the window into the forest.

Sami
"Alright." I stepped out of the cabin, and Opal just sat there patiently. She seemed attached to Emily or something.

Serena
I put on my boots and a bright pink sweater.

Sabrina
I put on a bright pink sweater as well. Since me and Serena were wearing the exact same jeans, we now looked alike. I headed out with her.

Emily
Cindy and I headed out, following the twins.

Opal
Once we were deep in the forest, I slithered under Emily again. Do you want to fly? I asked.

Emily
I knew Opal was trying to talk to me, but I couldn't tell what she was saying. "Um..." I guessed. "Fly. She's saying something about flying?" I turned to Sami. "Do you think Opal can fly?"
