Zoey Forest's Summer Camp

Zoey Forest, the one that changed all our views on environmentalism, started a summer camp in the small forest where she grew up many years ago. Today, that summer camp still thrives, and many young girls and boys go there. Anyone 6 years old - 18 years old is welcome to join! You'll be living in cabins, telling stories around campfires, and doing all the fun stuff that campers do!

Emily
I stood with my mother and sister outside the sign that said "Zoey Forest's Summer Camp."
"Oh my gosh!" I said. "This is gonna be so much fun!"

Cindy
I rolled my eyes. "Let's go in Emily!" Emily and I hugged our mom and dad goodbye, and headed inside.

Opal
I stared at the new girls entering. I had a feeling I could reveal myself to them, but when they are alone. I slithered around, following them. I had my eye one the red-head.

Sabrina
I ran to catch up with my cousins Cindy and Emily. "Hey guys!" I said. "What's up?"

Serena
"Isn't this going to be fun?" I asked Emily. I was into animals, even though I wasn't into them as much as her.

Emily
"Oh, definitely! I bet we're gonna see reptiles and amphibians and frogs and lizards and snakes, and all sorts of trees, and the air is going to be clean...."

Cindy
"Emily, shut up!" Emily cast me a reproachful look before stopping. "Let's go find our cabin. I think they put us all in the same one."

Opal
"Hisss." I slithered by once again. They seemed alone, but i waited a little longer.

Sabrina
I pointed to a small, wooden cabin labeled

Serena Cole
Emily Leech
Cindy Leech"
That's it, right?

Serena
"Oh wow!" I said. "That doesn't look as bad as I thought it would be."

Emily
"Wow! We're gonna be so in touch with nature!" I said excitedly. "You did check that they have vegetarian food, right Cindy? I can't stand the thought of meat."

Cindy
I laughed. "Em, you asked me that already!" I said impatiently. "Let's go in." I pushed open the door to the cabin cautiously. It had two bunk beds. "Oh! I call top bunk on the one on the right!"

Opal
I couldn't get in anymore. I waited till they came outside.

Sabrina
"I still don't get why you got the top bunk!" I said, annoyed to Serena. "Because I'm the OLDER sister." said Serena. "Yes, by two minutes and eight seconds!" I said.

Serena
"Come on, Sabrina. We'll switch every two nights." By her tone, Sabrina still sounded annoyed, but she said. "OK, deal."

Emily
"I'mma go get some chocolate fudge," I said, ruffling through my suitcase for some change, "And look at the itinerary. I know today's meet and welcome, so we don't have to do anything. I wanna see if there's a hike on for tomorrow.

Cindy
"I'll come!" I said. "I am so craving chocolate fudge." Em tossed me some coins, and we left to go to the main office.

Opal
"Hisss." I slithered after the two girls again.

Emily
"Oh!" I said. "Do you hear that? It's probably a lizard!" I said. I spotted it and gasped. "It IS a lizard!"

Cindy
"Em, that's not a lizard. It's too big. It's some kind of... weird new species." I started walking towards the thought of the chocolate fudge, leaving Emily to talk to the lizard/weird new species.

Opal
My head stuck out of the bushes, so the girl could not see my wings. I hid them flat against my body and they blended in. I allowed the girl to touch me and slithered up to her with the texture of my wings hidden with magic.

Emily
"Oh, it's so pretty!" I sighed. "I'm gonna name you...." I hesitated and looked at the lizard. "Uh... Opal. You look like an Opal."

((Opal looks more like a snake. xD Like a Hissi on Neopets))

Opal
I approved of the name and stared at her, asking what her name was through my gaze.

Emily
"Maybe you're a snake." I said. "Are you a snake? Or a lizard?"

((I saw a movie on discovery channel that talks about snakes, and it says the basis for dragons are snakes.))

((I know. :]))

Opal
Neither. What is your name? I sent the message to her, keeping the stern stare.

Emily
"I'm Emily." I said happily. "I have a new snake or lizard for a pet named Opal!" I gushed.

Opal
As Emily ran off toward her friend, I followed her. I looked intensely at the brown haired one.

Emily
"Isn't it absoutely wonderful?" I said to Cindy.

Cindy
I laughed and looked at it. "Yes, it is pretty. Go get the twins here. They'll love it."

Opal
I slithered under Emily to be her steed. It was rather fun to have someone ride me.

Emily
"I love this snake thing!" I said excitedly. "Ooh! I know! Maybe it got mutated!"

Opal
I didn't respond, rather turned the way towards the cabin. I waited for Emily's command to move foward.

Maybe she was the one who was destined to be my master.

Emily
"Can you understand me?" I asked the snake thing. "Cause you act like you can understand. Can you tell me what you are, if you're a snake or a lizard, or something else completely?"

Cindy
"Em, it's a wizard. No doubt." I said.

Opal
I shook my head at all of her questions. If I were to tell you, would you know it was me?

Serena
Me and Sabrina walked out of the cabin to see Emily and a strange animal. "Em, we thought we were craving chocolate fudge - what in the name of triple chocolate chip cookies is that?" I asked, spotting the creature.

Sabrina
"It looks like a Lizardtail Dragonback!" I said, observing it closely.

Emily
"That's what I thought too. But it's too big!" I said.

Opal
I wasn't sticking my tongue out. Did they at all notice?

Sami
I entered the camp. This was going to be fun. I looked around and saw a weird lizard thing next to four girls. I ran up. "Hello. Umm... what is that thing? It's so... cute!" I said.
