The Magic Notebook

((Just a note, Opal is as long a single stair step and she's as wide as a single stair step. She's small in this one. :]))

Sami
I arrived in my home. It looked as neat as ever. Who did this? I saw the monster slithering up and this once I realized it was a dragon. It looked pleased I was home, but hissed as it saw the two girls behind me. I knelled down. "It is fine. What is your name, where did you come from?"

Opal
I let out a silent sigh. I looked at the twins uneasily. My name is Opal, as you assigned it last night. I am your drawing. I answered. I will guard you, but of these girls I will not unless you say so. I said.

Serena
"Ah!" I shrieked. "Sabrina! It's the dragon!" I began to back away very slowly.

Sabrina
I took Lily from Serena, since I was nearest the door. I cautiously opened the door, all the time trying to quiet Lily, since the cries might distress the dragon.

Lily
I didn't know what was going on. I was hungry, I was dirty, and I was thirsty. What was with this place! I was trying to tell my sisters, and they weren't giving me anything! As if I was crying, and not actually speaking actual words!

((YAY! Lily! She has a point. ))

Opal
I looked at the baby. What is wrong, little one? I asked.

Sami
"It's okay, guys! It won't hurt you." I said.

Serena
"You sure? It tried to kill us this morning." I said.

Lily
I looked towards the dragon. "Does even he understand?" I asked Sabrina, who was cradling me in her arms.

Sabrina
I smiled at Lily. She had stopped crying now, but she looked very sad. She said "Ah - goo - la - ga ga?" I smiled and tickled her, and she giggled.

Opal
I do understand, I said to the child. Do you need help? Are you hungry? I asked with a caring tone. I crept closer.

Sami
"I'm certain. I think... I created it. I can direct it." I looked and saw it coming closer to the baby.

Lily
"I'm absolutely famished!"

Sabrina
"Just - just make sure it doesn't hurt Lily." I said.

Sami
"Ok." I said, turning to where Opal once was, but saw her gone. Then she came out of the kitchen holding some food.

Opal
I nodded, slithering into the kitchen and grabbing some milk, a spoon and apple sauce from the fridge. I slithered back to the child. I held all three items in my tail and I held them out for the twins to grab and feed the baby.

Sabrina
"Oh!" I quickly took the milk, and Serena took the apple sauce. It was in a bottle, but it wasn't a baby bottle.

Serena
I took a spoon of apple sauce, and fed Lily. She now had her first bit of solid food. "Oh, I'm not cut out to be a mother." I said.
Lily hungrily ate the apple sauce. She really was hungry. Then Sabrina gave her some milk. She looked so much better. "Thank you." I said, addressing the dragon.

Opal
I did it for the child, not for you. I said bitterly. No child should starve in a house which they are provided.

Sami
That was a bit cold, but at least she helped. "We should bath her. She looks dirty. The bathtub is up there." I said. "You can take off your shoes here." I said at the bottom of the stairs before we headed up.

Sabrina
What was up with the creature! It was strange. Maybe he had something against twins....
We both took off our shoes, and thanked Sami for helping.

Sami
"No problem" I said. "Do you want to wash Lily by yourselves or should I come in with you?" I asked politely.

Sabrina
"We'll do it by ourselves." I answered.

Sami
"Alright. I'll wait in my room. It's over there." I said, pointing. Then I headed in there and opened up the still smooth brand new paper in the drawing book. I started to draw a little girl. A cute one, one dressed in a pink puffy dress. I drew her as a cheerleader, so cute and happy. I pulled my color pencils out and colored the girl, writing beside the picture "Joyce" because the girl seemed so cheerful.

Just then I heard the water turn off in the bathroom. I guess they were done. I shut the notebook and grabbed the book "Eragon" and began reading. The door opened and the twins came in.

Sabrina
"Thanks for helping us!" I said. "Do you know a place we can stay for the night?"

Sami
"You guys can stay here. There are plenty of spare rooms." I said, leading them to a room across the hall. "This one is the nicest." I grinned. I opened the door for them. It was completely clean, and painted a nice shade of pink.

Sabrina
"Thanks so much! You've been really helpful." I sighed and stretched out on the lower bunk of the bunk bed. "I wonder what's going on."


((Yes, it IS a bunk bed.))


Serena
"Hey, by any chance, do you have a phone?" I asked. "So I can call my parents, and see what's going on?"

Sami
"Yeah, lemme go get it." I said, about to run downstairs when Opal already had it resting on her tail. "Oh, wow, thanks!" I said, giving the phone to Serena.

Serena
I dialed the number. "The number you have reached is not in service." it said. I dialed again. "The number you have reached is not in service." it said again. "What?" I said in wonder. "What on earth is going on?"

Sami
"So... um... It's still early. Wanna play some games or look at my drawing notebooks?" I asked.

Sabrina
I sighed, but it didn't seem like we were going home soon. "OK." I said.

Smai
I led them to my room and showed them my old drawing books, ones with lined paper in them. Then I showed them the new one. I opened up the first page and there was Opal. I turned the page and there was a cheery little girl on the paper.

Opal
Your drawings are gorgeous. I commented with satisfactory.

Sabrina
"Yeah." I nodded. "They're good."

Sami
"What do you think of Joyce? I tried to make it look cute." I said.

Sabrina
"Yeah, I can imagine someone like that!"

The time passed by quickly and the group had went to bed. The next morning, One A.M. ...

Opal
"Hissss." I growled. There was a small little girl of top of Sami. I couldn't burn her or else I might burn Sami. I bared my teeth at her she looked at me.
