The Magic Notebook

Milkyway
"Yeah. She's my favorite. So how'd you know? Did you two talk?" I asked.

((I didn't notice it was midnight for you. xD))

Sabrina
"I was up too. Couldn't sleep." I said.

Sami
"Ah." I said.

There was silence. Then I said, "How would it be if you guys just disappeared?"

Sabrina
"Wh-what?" I said. "We're really sorry... but I mean.... we don't have anywhere else to go!"

Serena
"Well, maybe we could find a cheap motel or something to stay in..." I said, rather confused...

Sami
"I meant if I found a way to return you to your former world. How would you feel?" I asked.

Serena
"Ohhhhhhhhhh...." I said, realizing what she meant. "How, though?"

Sami
"I don't know. I'm just thinking what would happen." I said.

Sabrina
"Well, if you have a notebook that creates people out of nowhere... then could there be a notebook that if you redraw them it lets you take them back?" I suggested wildly.

Sami
"I don't know. Probably just erasing would be good to make you go away."

Opal
I slithered up to Sami. I do not wish to leave your side though. I said sadly. I simply sat curled up on Sami's lap.

Sabrina
"But didn't you turn your homework in already?" I pointed out.

Sami
"My teacher returned it." I said. Then I got up and threw my dishes in the sink. "Well, let's get away from that topic. Do you guys want to go watch a movie?" I asked, suddenly happy.

Sabrina
"What movie?" I asked.

Sami
"Voices of a Distant Star." I said. "Or Tears of a Thousand Souls. Those both have Milkyway in them!" I smiled. "They're both interesting movies."

Serena
"Wait... so you mean... Milkyway.... is a REAL singer? Well in this universe or whatever? Like I thought you just made her up."

Sami
"Hm? Yeah. She's my favorite actress and singer, that's why I drew her!" I said with a grin, taking out my movies. "Which one do you want to watch?"

Sabrina
"What are they about?" I asked.

Sami
"Voices of a Distant Star is about Milkyway stargazing and hears a voice which she only hears at night when she stares at the brightest star." I said, pretending to read off of the back. "She then ventures into space to find who is speaking to her."
"Tears of a Thousand Souls is about a child who keeps saying the rain burns with a certain purity and a certain hate whenever it is made contact with him. He finds out one day that it is a thousand mourning souls and joyful souls and befriends a few of the souls and tries to find out why they were crying."
"They're both interesting movies. They're mainly about friendship."

Sabrina
"Both sound interesting. We can watch either." I said.

Sami
I smiled. "Alright, Let's watch Voices of a Distant Star first."

.:That night:.

Milkyway
"I'm home!" I said, running upstairs to Sami's room with glee. "You got the part!" I said happily, then looking over her shoulder. "Hm? What are you doing?"

Sami
In my hand I held a eraser. A eraser that erases color pencil and pencil. The notebook was opened to the first page. The first drawing. Opal.

"Experimenting." I said, then letting the eraser rub against the paper. Opal's eyes jolted open and her wings started to disappear as I erased that part.

Opal
I screeched out with pain as my wing was ripped out of my body and sent back to my own realm. I shot a glance at the eraser. I couldn't use my magic now, it was trying to reform my wing. She was... really trying to get rid of us. I felt betrayed, but only could let it be.

Sami
I looked back as the snake squirmed and wriggled in pain. I felt sorry for her, it hurt me and Opal at the same time. But it had to be done. My parents were coming home and it was troubling enough. I finished the last stroke of the eraser and all marks were gone. Looking back at the pillow on which the dragon slept upon, she was gone. She had returned to her own realm, never to see me again.

"It worked." I said sadly.

Milkyway
"Get rid of me before the others." I said plainly. "Warn them. Let them bid their last farewell. I'm certain they will miss you. And you will miss them. I am a part of you and so it'll be easier saying goodbye to me."

Sami
I followed my own advice and started erasing her, trying to do it fast so she didn't need to suffer.

Milkyway
I winced at the excruciating pain. "Been nice knowing you." I said weakly as the last of me was erased.

Sabrina
I knocked on the door of Sami's room. "Can I come in? Serena thinks you found a way to send us back."

Sami
"I did." I said, letting her come in. "Would you... be happy if you went back?"

Serena
"We miss our family." I said, inviting myself in. "We really want to come back."

Sabrina
Holding Lily, I said "We want to get home, whatever it takes. But we'll miss you. Thanks."

Lily
"I miss mommy!" I wailed.

Sami
I sighed. "Alright, but it'll hurt." I said, pulling out my homework. I started erasing the twins quickly. Once they were off of the paper, I erased Joyce as well.
