Without A Name

"Hm... oh well. Maybe we should ask her when we get back from our trip. I mean, come on, it's not like he's going to disappear when we get back, right?" Belief said. "We're all citizens of Distopia... we're all meant to stay here. Oh, do you know where Need and Wisdom are?"

Not going to disappear? Name wondered. What if I did? It's not like anyone cares. What's the use staying if I'm not even noticed?

Flower grinned. "Okay. But look! Look at this! It's so pretty! I think they're, uh, somewhere near, uh, here." Flower said, looking around. "They should be here anytime now."

"Hey, I'm back~" Need said in a melodic tone. She had changed her outfit just a little. A yellow flower with a white center sat in her hair. She still wore those same gloves with the diamond pattern running along the side, but now she had a dress on that had a yellow top in the shape of a heart and a blue dress adorned with her signature white X. Around her neck hung a professional camera and in her hand she held a bag full of supplies. "Is Wisdom back yet?"

"I'm over here." said Wisdom, walking towards their direction.

"Woah!" said Flower in surprise. "You were back with none of us noticing?"

"Hey there!" Need waved. "Alright, so are we all good to go?" she smiled.

"Hey wait a second," Belief said. "Wisdom, Need, do you guys know who he is?" she said, pointing at the teenage boy on the bench which sat on the sidewalk not too far away from the forest they stood in.

Wisdom inspected him closely, and her head seemed to be filled with thoughts that no one could understand. After what seemed like a really really really really really really really really long time, Wisdom shook her head.

Flower gave a shrug. "So let's go?"

"Wisdom, that took a millennium just for you to try to identify him!" Need laughed. "Alright, let's go!" she said, skipping into the forest. "Let's hope we run into a lot of flowers!"

"Oh my god, this is scary!" squealed Flower. "So what do you think we will find?" she asked. "And where are we in the forest? Hey, will we find our way back? What if we get lost!" Flower glanced around the dark forest. "We're not very deep in, it looks like."

"Oh, wow! What's this flower?" Need asked, pointing at a nice but dully pink flower blooming in a small patch of sunlight.

Flower examined it. "It's an Iris," she said dismissively. "Although it's a Kitty Kay, that's one of the only types of Irises I don't have yet. I should try to breed it. I'll come back to this area later."

Belief smiled kindly. "Let's go."

Soon the group made it deep into the forest, where the trees seemed to make sounds as if they were trying to talk to them. The darkness of the abyss engulfed them as they took small steps deeper and deeper into the haunted forest. The ground was rather rocky and there was no path to be seen in the dim light. The dead trees surrounded them.

"I-it's getting a bit scary," Need stuttered. "Maybe that flower doesn't really exist," she sighed. "Should we turn back? I have a feeling we're going to ruin everything if we go out of the boundaries of Distopia."

"Yes! We should!" Flower said, trying to drag Belief back. "Let's gooo! It's so dark and scary and stuff in here! Who would waste their time!"

"Wait, wait!" Belief cried. She got Flower to let go of her. "I have a feeling that if we go right now, we'll miss something super duper important. I once heard of this saying that goes like... something like, 'When everything seems against you and nothing is going your way, hang on a little longer since that is the exact time and place that the tables will turn.'" she said. "Just a little bit further, okay? You guys don't have to follow me, but I believe we can find that flower if we take one more step!"

Flower sighed. "Oh, whatever. Fine, fine. I'll come with you." Flower looked around at the forest, then followed Belief.

"O-okay. Just a little further." Need said as the group advanced forth.

Soon they came upon a beautiful shining flower. It was rather big, but still small. From the bottom it was lavender, fading to white and a gorgeous crystal blue, with spot of black and brown littering the bottom of the petals. The petals curled around eachother in a spiral, and it was closed shut.

"Is that it?" Belief said excitedly. "I've never seen anything like it!"

"That is... that's it!" Need exclaimed. "It's... so pretty!"

Flower knelt down upon it. "Wow.... this is amazing. I... can't think... it's... I.. wow..., it's gorgeous, but it's back here, it's... probably, very rare, and... probably very special..."

"See?" Belief smiled. "Do you know what it's called?"

Flower sighed. "I've heard of it, but never seen it, this flower is a legend. It's appeared in books from our forefathers, and it was common then. But everyone ignored it and it became rare, and was only found in places like... these..."

"Wow... it's amazing." Need said, kneeling next to it. "I'm afraid to touch it," she laughed.

Flower examined it. "Stroking plants is good for them." I said. "Talking to them, even paying attention to them helps. If you ignore them, they die easier."

Need looked at the plant. She brought her hand closer to it and stoked it softly. "Wow... its petals are soft."

Flower smiled. "Just don't be harsh on it."

"Yeah..." Need said, enchanted by the beauty of the flower.

"Wow... so the flower Rumor talked about was real." Belief said, breath taken.

Need took a picture of the flower. "Now we have proof it exists!" she smiled.

"See, what'd I tell you? If you gave up when you wanted to we wouldn't have found this!" Belief said.

"...better safe than sorry." said Flower.

"I think we should head back now." Need said, standing up. "Our parents will be worried."
