"Huh... who..."

Voice
"What do art pieces do?" I echoed.

Iris
"'Art pieces?'" I quoted.

Voice
"Like the shell you sit in, the fox whose wish came true, the coins who be your friends, what do they do?"

Iris
"...talk?"

Voice
"Oh, but they are not heard to humans, our creators. What do they do for them?"

Iris
"I don't know! Why is this mysterious voice asking me complicated questions?"

Voice
"Display. Sit and display. Arts aren't meant to live."

Iris
"How does that matter? There are dreams! What if they want to become real? Things can do things that they aren't meant to do!"

Voice
"Oh, but that's breaking the rules, is it not? Have you heard of the story of the Velveteen Rabbit?"

Iris
"...yes, but... I forget it. And besides, rules were made to be broken."

((I finally found out who the voice is. ))

Voice
"There was once a small rabbit plushie who was given to a boy when he was little, but the boy had a dear Teddie bear and neglected it as well as all his other toys," I said, soon my voice merging with the higher, more familiar voice of Amy. My voice started to disappear as she narrated the story. "One day, the boy had lost the bear and wouldn't go to asleep without it. He was given the rabbit and it was then brought to life. What does it mean to inanimate objects when you live?"

Iris
"I'm not a philosophical person anyway! I don't even know how I granted the wish!"

Amy's voice (It changed from the mysterious voice to her thoughts)
"What did it mean to the rabbit? He said he was alive when he was hugged by the boy and played with the boy. But was he really? To be alive, an inanimate object needs to be loved." I said. "Am I loved?"

Iris
"...yeah!"

Amy's voice
"By who?"

Iris
"Mee! Duh! I'm your friend!"

Amy's voice
"But will your love last forever?"

Iris
"Yep!"

Amy's voice
"I hope so..." I said. And thus, the night once again grew silent.

Iris
"I'm gonna sleep now." I said, sleeping.

The fox was once again glass, sitting on the front desk and curled up, it's eyes closed. It seems as if the wish granted had not lasted forever.

The glass moved, and the fox's eyes opened.

Amy
"Good morning." I said, opening my eyes. I stretched out, my joints feeling more stiff than usual. Just then I noticed that my fur was now yellow, sleek and shiny, unlike the previous day where I had been a orange fox with rough but soft fur, that didn't shine.

I examined myself. I couldn't believe it. I was glass. Again. Yet moving. "What's this?"

Iris
I woke with a start.

Amy
"Iriiiiiiiis. I think something went wrong with your magic wish-granting."

Iris
"Hmm?" I looked around. "Amy! You're back to normal! I think it's the voices fault. I heard a mysterious voice and it said crazy weird stuff!"
