"Farewell." The night's only sound after that was the soft wind and the snow falling.



Amy, as she had said, was sleeping in. Iris is awake, as well as the other antiques.

Opal
"Hey... Amy's purple now." I said quietly, turning to observe the sleeping fox. "She's clay as well."

Iris
"Yeah." I whispered. "I wonder if she can move?"

Shell
"Maybe. Oh hey, why is she sleeping so late? She usually gets up early."

Iris
"That way she can stay up tonight to hear the voice."

Shell and Opal
"What voice?" we said in unison.

Iris
"The mysterious voice I keep hearing every night."

Shell
"You hear a voice?"

Opal
"What does it say?"

Iris
"Weird cryptic stuff."

Crystal
"Cryptic? What's that mean? Sorry, my vocabulary's not very big."

Iris
"Uh.." I had an odd sense of deja vu.

Amy
I finally started to wake up. "Mm... what time is it?"

Iris
"Pretty late, but you can keep sleeping."

Opal
"Two o' clock in the afternoon."

Amy
"Wow, I slept in seven hours or so!" I said astonished.

Iris
"So ya think that you'll be able to stay up?"

Amy
"Definitely! What were you guys talking about?"

Iris
"The voice and how it says cryptic stuff."

Shell
"We were also talking about how late you were sleeping."

Opal
"And the fact that you are purple now."

Amy
"What? I'm purple?" I tried looking down, but it pained me. "It's hard moviiiing." I moaned.

Iris
"Aw..." I said sadly. "That sucks."

Amy
"Really!" I said. "I hope I can ask that voice why this is happening."

Iris
"Yeeeah."

Amy
"Oh, did you get the names of the characters?"

Iris
"Yeah, but I forgot. "

Amy
"Aww, really? Man. Well, what was the rest of the story?"
