Another Me

Arie
"Mine can turn flash off though." I said proudly. I had saved up for this camera and it was expensive, and digital. "Let's gooo!"

Aida
"Mine can toooo!" I said, following.

Akiko
I smiled. "Wait up!"

Arie
"This place is pretty!"

Aida
"I know!" I said, looking into the water and into the clear reflection. "Huh?"

I didn't see me. I saw somebody else. The complete opposite. She was wearing black. In fact, she was a silhouette tinted with color. Everything was black: eyes, hair, clothes. I looked deep into her eyes, as she did mine.

Cephei
"Isn't the lake beautiful, Tristessa?" I asked, walking around and smelling the flowers. "Don't you agree as well, Iris?"

((Yes, Iris and Trist are with Cephei at the forest. ))

Iris
"Yeah! It's so awesoome!"

Tristessa
I nodded.

((Notice your reflection, Trist. ;D))

Aida
"Hey... guys... look here." I said, motioning to the lake. "I... I think it's magical! The lake!"

Akiko
"Hm? How so? Magic doesn't exist." I said, coming to her side.

Cephei
"Isn't the water clear? I've heard rumors that it was a mirror to see into another..." I looked into the lake, standing by Tristessa, "world..." I said, losing the end of my sentence. There stood different people, instead of our own reflections.

((Akiko is Cephei's other. ))

Arie
"So weird!" I said. "That person looks like me but with different clothes!"

Aida
"I... recognize her." I said, slowly leaning further to see her in more detail.

Tristessa
I looked closer. There was something familiar about that person, a sense of deja vu.

Aida
I slowly reached my hand out to the pond. My finger touched the surface, making a small ripple but the image didn't fade away. I slowly entered my whole hand in there. Instead of feeling dense and wet water, it felt as if it was only air under the surface. Leaning too far, I fell in.

Akiko
I gasped. "Aida!"

Aria
"Sis!" I shouted, jumping into the water after her.

Cephei
I observed, shocked. The hand of the reflection actually came out and fell into our world.

Aida
"Huh... huh!? Wh-where am I?"

Cephei
I started to recite I rumor I had heard. "Through this lake, you could see into another world. Touch the lake, it will do nothing unless fate decides the person to fall into the mirror and see their other self. Fate decides who belongs in this world and who belongs in the other, and if one falls through, there has been a disturbance." I said. "This person... something must have happened to her."

Tristessa
"I know her." I said softly.

Iris
"Sweet! You know your own reflection?"

((YES SIXTH SENSE.))

Aida
I stared at my reflection intensely, in curiosity and shock. "I... know you."

Tristessa
I inclined my head. "Who are you?"

Aida
"Who are you?" I said as well.

Aria
"We are one." I said suddenly, appearing between the both of them.

Tristessa
"Who are you?" I asked for the second time to someone else who had appeared between us.

Aria
"We're sisters." I said.

Tristessa
"Triplets?"

Aria
"You both may not remember it; we were all so little. I recommend you go see mother if you wish for answers."

Tristessa
I nodded and began walking towards our house and out of the forest.

Aida
"Heeey, wait for me!!" I said, following the girl in black.

Cephei
I looked inside the lake, seeing that my counterpart was poking the water but nothing happened. The image soon disappeared. I quickly walked after Tristessa.

Akiko
"The images disappeared." I said, taking my hand out of the water. "But... I have a picture." I said. "Arie, this person looks like you."

Arie
"Yeah! Only she's wearing different clothes."

((Arie is a reflection of my RL self and Iris is a reflection of my online self. ;D))

((Yaah.))

Akiko
"I think we should wait here." I said, sitting down by the lake. "Maybe Ai will come back. Hopefully she isn't drowning."

Aida
"Where's your house?"

Tristessa
I pointed to a large stone house nearby, and rang the doorbell when we reached it.

"Hello? Oh, Tristessa, your home." I smiled. "Who's this?"

Tristessa
"My reflection." I said plainly.
