Floating Away...

Based on Life of Pi. ;D

There was a huge cruise ship that sunk. On that ship were various people and many huge lifeboats. More than half were still asleep when the ship was sinking. The other people were thrown on the lifeboats - each in pairs of two, whether animal or human - and thus were left to die out in sea. These people have to work together to get out of this - either someone can die and one can live by them self, they both survive and make it to land, or sadly, both die.

Land is hundreds, or maybe thousands, miles away. All you have are the clothes on your body, the food in the storage, and the other person. The surrounding water is often infested with sharks, which is why you cannot swim. It is a huge lifeboat, and thus the two people cannot row the boat themselves. The lifeboats were all set off in a storm, thus nobody saw one another.

There will be a lot of lifeboats! One lifeboat cannot have two characters that are played by one person. You do not get to choose who you get thrown in with! I'll be putting people with other random people >D

And then two of the three friends, Melody and Savannah.
I want to include Cherry, but there are only five people up there. Yes, I know they won't be together, but I think they should be on the cruise ship together.

I'll add Cherry in there. I want to include another animal but I thought it was a bit much. ;D

Let's start at the cruise ship. ;D

Zabu
I roared ferociously and clawed at the cage bars. Nobody could hear me.

Opal
I stared at the tiger. Stay calm. I said to her. She looked at me and sat down, grumbling.

Amy
"Wow!" I said, practically shouting as if to let everyone on land hear my words. "The view is amazing!" I turned to Iris. "Don't you think so too?"

Sami
I glanced over at the girl leaning over the rail through my sunglasses. She wore a white tank top under a white unbuttoned shirt, black shorts and tan sandals. I loved how her eyes sparkled like nobody else's.

"I know, isn't it?" I said with a smile. She looked over and nodded with a huge smile. I myself wore orange sunglasses, a purple T-shirt, blue denim shorts and blue slippers. It was a really hot day though it had the perfect weather.

Miku
I dragged Rin off nearer to the railing. "Look, that's the sea! I always say it holds infinity." I smiled. I wore a pink shirt with spaghetti straps and a light blue skirt. My long blue hair flowed with the soft breeze.

Rin
I wore my usual outfit, for it was also short sleeved and I didn't care of the heat. "How does it hold infinity?" I questioned. Miku's only response was a bright laugh.

Joyce
I ran around the ship excitedly. This was my first time on a cruise ship, and I was exploring. I was wearing a short-sleeved white T-shirt with a picture of a smiley face on it, and the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade with extra sugar!" I was also wearing a denim skirt, and I had black slippers on. I had my hair in two pigtails on the side of my head. I went to the edge of the boat just in time to hear someone say "The view is amazing!"
"Is it really that amazing?" I looked through the bars. "Wow! The water is so blue and pristine and pretty and clean and I want to jump into it and swim back to shore and tell all my friends to come on here!"

Iris
"I-it's pretty." I said nervously. I turned to the girl who said she wanted to jump into it. "Uh... not... a good idea." I was wearing a blue T-shirt with the American Idol logo on it and jeans that were too short for me, and sandals. My hair was as messy as always, even though I had spent an hour straightening it the day before.

Stephanie
There were some other girls my age on the ship, though I didn't know any of them. I self-consciously examined my hair and clothes. Were my Abercrombie jeans and Hollister T-shirt the right clothes for today? It didn't look like any of them were wearing clothes from brands I recognized. They all seemed to know each other. One girl was wearing horribly mismatched clothes.

Cherry
"Wow! A cruise ship! Isn't this going to be fun!" My hair, as always, was in pigtails, and I was wearing my denim jacket over a white halter top, as well as white track pants.

Melody
"Sure!" I nodded. "Unless we crash into an iceberg..." I shuddered. I wore a blue skirt and a blue jacket over a light pink T-shirt, and yellow boots.

Savannah
I didn't say anything. What if we did crash into an iceberg? That would be pretty scary. My hair was in a french braid, I wore a striped blue and white shirt and jeans.

Amy
"Feelin' sick, Iris?" I asked.

Iris
"Not sick, really. What if this ship, what if it like breaks or something! What if we all drown and die! What if... what if..."

Amy
"Don't worry! It's a cruise ship and these ships rarely break! If it does I'll be there, so you have nothing to worry about." I smiled. "We should socialize! You know, talk with others." I walked up to the girl with bright blue on. "Hey! What's your name? I'm Amy!"

Melody
"I'm Melody! Nice to meet you, Amy!"

Amy
"Melody is a nice name." I smiled. "Here's my friend, Iris! Do you have any friends here?"

Melody
"Yep!" I nodded. "This is Savannah and this is Cherry."

Savannah
I nodded in acknowledgement when my name was mentioned.

Cherry
"'Sup!"

Amy
"Cool! Do you guys like singers?"

Sami
My eyes glanced over when I heard 'Singers'. I was anxious to know what'd they say.

Savannah
"Oh, singers! I..." I gasped and put my hands over my mouth, before slowly uncovering them, then smiled and shrugged.

Melody
"She wants to be a singer." I smiled at Savannah.

Savannah
I rolled my eyes at Melody. Honestly, to say that to a random stranger.

Cherry
"Music is so great!" I sighed. "And singers are so great!"

Sami
"I agree!" I said, walking over to the group. "I too, wish to be a singer! You have to wonder how such beautiful melody is composed by just a hollow instrument." I said.

Amy
"Well, not all instruments are hollow. There's... uh..."

Rin
"You're voice?" I asked suddenly, walking over to the group. I might as well keep myself amused by these citizens, even though I was known by a lot of people because I was a famous singer myself.

Miku
"Ah. There is not an instrument you can hold that isn't hollow, other than electric-powered guitars and violins." I stated. "As far as I know."

((Yess, getting everyone to join in on the small little conversation!

Yes, it is appearant that Miku and Rin are popular. Only in Japan but they are well known in other countries like Usa and stuff. ))

Melody
"Music is cool. Like a... Melody!" I shrugged and smiled.

Amy
I laughed. "There's also the Harmony!"

Pop. Pop! Small explosions emitted from someplace on the ship.

Amy
I aroused from bed. I sensed a disturbance, and not a pleasant one. "Iris, wake up! I think something going on outside!" I said, quietly in the dim light.

Iris
"Hm...?" I woke up slowly, but once I heard the noises, I jumped up. "Oh, no! We're going to sink! What are those... explosions?" I gasped. "If we're going to sink, I need to get my chapstick!"

Amy
"Well, whatever!" I said, also gathering a few supplies. I took some things such as cloth and food, but most importantly a plushie bunny. It was like the one in the Velvetine rabbit, and I held it closely. "Meet me on the deck." I said, throwing the bag over my shoulder. I glanced back, terrified to see flowing black water seeping in at the very back of the stern.

Stepping outside was a mistake on my part. The moment I opened the door thunder deafened me. My shoes became wet and it was hard to see through such fog. "Iris!?" I yelled over the winds. "Grab my hand!"

((Yes, I love my plushie bunny. It is another survivor of the sinking of the ship. ;D))

Iris
"Ahh! I'm going to die!" I screamed as I held on to Amy's hand for dear life. "We're all gonna diiiiiiiiiiiiiiie!"

Amy
"Don't worry!" I growled. I squeezed her hand tight. I saw the officers at the front. "Hello!" I shouted. They noticed us, and then unexpectedly threw us overboard. We landed in a cold, metal lifeboat. It was immediately cut from the ship. We started to drift off.

"No... way..." I growled. I started to pull the tarpaulin over our heads. "Help me, Iris!"

Iris
"I took special safety lessons on this!" I wailed. "But I'm still gonna die! At least I'll die with my chapstick on!"

Amy
"We'll be alright!"

Opal
I wailed as I sensed the water invaded the dreaded ship. Better they all die. I thought. I looked over at the tiger, which seemed frightened by the danger she sensed. I unlocked her and my cage and said, Run. And I did as I instructed, snaking my way to the deck.

Zabu
I nodded and burst through the cage, making my run for it. I quickly jumped on the metal boat below, passing by a small girl.
