The City

Cephei
"Oh! That is simply part of the story. You'll just have to wait." I smiled.

Sen
"Aw, come on." I laughed.

Cephei
"I actually don't know what the tree's significance is, but the boy had told me he had this nostalgic feeling about it." I said. "It may be very important, but I don't know what exactly it is."

Eliza
I laughed. "So are there any more interesting stories?"

Cephei
"Well, there are, but more interesting ones are in the one which humans can read!"

Eliza
"Okay!" I said. "Hey, look at this girl!"

Cephei
"What girl?"

Eliza
"On the cover of this book! She's facing a huge monster and she's not scared at all!"

Sen
I rolled my eyes. "Sounds like a lame story."

Cephei
"Oh! That story is certainly not lame. It's a story of bravery and courage. It's story is good as well; it's a story about a boy who was turned into a dragon and the boy loved the girl, yet the girl just looked at him as a friend. Soon, she fell in love with somebody else. The dragon, not knowing of his previous life as a boy, was somehow heart-broken and hadn't known why, but just knew that she didn't deserve to be if she was being with the other boy. The girl comes face to face with the dragon, and before she dies she smiles at him. The dragon realizes something he did not see before, and he remembers his past and turns back into a boy. And although the boy did not end up with the girl, everyone lived happily."

"Hey, that sounds interesting!"

Cephei
"I know! I love all the stories about dragons! Dragons are a my favorite animal! It's a shame that the witches took one and raised it to be evil."

Sen
"Oh, yeah! I think I heard that!"

Cephei
"I wish I can go over there and free the dragon, but I think they have put up magical wards around their base ever since Emi went in there and was seen."

Sen
"That sucks."

Cephei
"Yes... I can no longer go there without being weakened."

Eliza
"I wonder what we could do."

Cephei
"Oh, of course!" I exclaimed. "You guys are human so of course you wouldn't be affected!"

Sen
"Really?" I gasped. "I didn't know that!"

Cephei
"It's only a magical barrier that repels magical beings! I don't believe it works on humans!" I smiled.

Eliza
"Then..."

Sen
"We could go through and... well... do something?" I finished the sentence.

Cephei
"If you want." I said. "I'm not forcing you."

Eliza
"Well, why not!"

Sen
"Yeah! We'd have to be careful, though."

Cephei
"Yes... that dragon in there is very vicious. But I can give you just the thing that will calm it."

Eliza
"What?" I asked curiously.

Cephei
"Give me a second to prepare it." I said, walking outside. I picked up a rock.

"By faith, by fate, by destiny I see!
The truth be unfurled of thee
Of destiny, of what could have been
Turn this stone unto one not found in this city!

Thy name originated of a mineral
The one of a month of snowfall
December is it's steed
Come out, Opal, brilliant and shining!"

With a bright light the plain gray rock turned into a great, round and shining Opal. "Give this to the dragon. It will freeze if for some time."
