"Yeeah." I flipped open a random notebook and saw a diagram. "These are definitely his."

"Alright. Do you have a safe place to put them?"

Iris
I was holding my bag so I quickly stuffed everything in there. "That should be good."

"Then let's go." I heard footsteps outside. I looked around swiftly. I locked the door, then quickly opened a vent. "Go!" I said.

Iris
I quickly went out.

I crawled into the vent and closed it again, also making my way out.

Iris
"Where's daad?"

Kimi
"We should look for him." I said. I motioned for her to turn another way through the maze. "Hopefully they won't notice us here."

Iris
"But where is he?"

Kimi
"I have no idea." I said. "Maybe he's near that room." Then an idea hit me. "Ask."

Iris
"The alethiometer?" I grabbed it from the pouch it was in, and asked it where Liam was. It gave me the answer. "Okay....... well down that hall and to the left."

I smiled and we went that way. "I see him."

Iris
"D-dad?" I said quietly.

"He looks injured."

Iris
"Dad?" I said a little louder.

Liam
"Iris?"

I slowly approached. "Can you stand?"

I tried to stand for a moment, but then my knees buckled. "Clearly.. no.."

I tried to support him under the arm. "We need to get out of here. Did they inject you with red stuff?"

Liam
"R-red.. how did you know?"

"They did! That's not good... now they can track you." I said. "If Dalene was here, she'd know what to do... uugh... what now..." I said to myself.

Liam
"Do you know where my daemon is?"

"No... what does it look like?"

"A wolf... named Sterling?"

I gasped. "While in the vent, I saw that a wolf was in another room being tested on!"
