Floating Away...

Miku
I grilled the fish. "Alright, it looks ready. Do you want to eat it?"

Stephanie
"Sure! Hey, you're good at this!"

Miku
I smiled. "Let's just say I've had a few millennium to practice."

Stephanie
I laughed. "But yeah, that's awesome!"

Miku
"So now, what to do? There's only a matter of time until we are found, and if we are stranded for nearly a year that won't be any good luck. I can starve myself for quite some long time, but not forever."

Stephanie
"Oh, I hope we're found soon."

Miku
"Yes, I do hope so. It wasn't this horrid when I was on the Titanic. Usually it's better when they have lots of people on the boat, it's easier to notice or something of the sort. I've never been on another shipwreck, so I don't know much about surviving in the sea. Surviving on land is a whole different thing."

Stephanie
"...you were on the Titanic?"

Miku
"Long story. But I do guess we have time, yes?"

Stephanie
"Totally."

Miku
"So, when I was born, someone ran an experiment on me. It was one that made me age to five thousand years, yet my body was stuck at one of a twenty-five year old. And now I age backwards because my body cannot comprehend still growing. So I lived through many periods of life. Such as..." I started to explain many events I went through. "And now, I've started to age down with my body, and now I am in one of an eleven year old. So now, I have eleven years to live before I once again become a cell."

Stephanie
"Woah..." I said. "That's... incomprehensible.... yet weird and cool at the same time."

Miku
"It gets boring, living for that long. Seeing how the world changes is interesting, but then you just have nothing to do. That's why I built a robot and programmed a heart for it. Actually, many robots. I knew they'd be able to live forever, so they'd be the one thing that I love that wouldn't die. And... I brought one on the ship the other day. She was Rin, the blond one that was with me. Version 4.2.2. The first one was supposedly my mother figure. She followed any command, and ended up becoming an assassin because I hadn't programmed who she listens to. I had to destroy her. The next I made a boy, someone strong to lean on. He did nothing. I tried putting in commands but he hadn't listened. He broke down by himself. The third, another 'Miku', but she started imitating me in everything I did and was no help at all and just destroyed everything. Then I created two robots, a boy and a girl. Twins, and one was Rin. I inserted the 'Heart' program in the boy, but after a while of singing with true feeling, he was heartbroken that his sister couldn't do the same and thus he sang a song for her. But the program was too much for him and he shut down. Then I modified the program and now I am here with Rin today. Nothing of misfortune has happened to her, yet she's still clueless about the world. It took nearly a thousand years with each of them, but I finally have a friend that has stayed with me." I said.

Stephanie
"Hm... so all the people you knew besides died?"

Miku
"Pretty much. It's sad indeed. I've met many friends in this age, but none can compare to King Arthur or William." I said.

((William Shakespeare, that is. ))

Stephanie
"William... Shakespeare?"

Miku
"Yes. him. I've met him, and actually helped him come up with quite a few of his poems, but it was mostly his genius." I said.

Stephanie
"Really? Wow..."

Miku
"It's amazing what you can do and not receive credit, but I don't mind. It was his work, I only helped."

Stephanie
"I find that hard to believe, but I mean, for some odd reason, I believe you..."

Miku
"Well, because I'm telling you the truth." I smiled. "Oh look, it's already three." I said staring at the sun.

Stephanie
"How can you tell?"

Miku
"I've lived at a time where the world had no such thing as a watch. We used to tell the time by the position of the sun."

Stephanie
"Sweeet."

Miku
"Do you want lunch?"

"Iris, you hungry?"
