An unknown dreamland where a little Fawkes runs free

"Hey, Amu-chan, do you want to come over for a sleepover at my house tomorrow?" I asked with a bright smile.

Amu looked away. "Err... that sounds sorta kiddish! I think I'll feel awkward sleeping with a guy."

"You can come over at 4 o' clock tomorrow." I said.

She turned to me. "I'll be there!" She giggled.



I had some rather girly clothing on. I was at home, I could be however I wanted to. I had a white skirt on over a knee high pair of jeans. I wore a light blue tanktop and a blue demin jacket. I was about to go out to feed my rabbit and I heard the bell ring. I opened the door.

"A- Amu-chan?" I stuttered out. No way! She couldn't see me with this clothing!

"Uhh... hi? Where's Alex?" she asked, trying to look behind me.

"Err... he... isn't here."

"Who are you?"

"I'm... his younger sister," I said, "We're twins."

"Oh cool! I didn't know Alex had a twin."

"Uhh... you can come inside."

Amu smiled. "Thank you!" she said and stepped inside the house. "You have a nice house!"

"So... Amu... why are you here?"

"How do you know my name?"

"Alex tells me of you all the time. He says you two are great friends."

"Oh!" She smiled. "I thought Alex invited me over for a sleepover today."

"Uh... no. It was tomorrow since... he's... over at grandma's."

"He's over at his grandma's? Why?"

I knew I was good at improvisation. I thought of a cover story quickly. "Our grandma is really sick and she always needs one of us to stay with her. I stay with her all week but Alex wanted to help so he cares for her every Thursday. I do so every other day so you never see me here."

"Oh! Wow. You two are really caring. Hey, what's your name?"

"I'm Allie. Hey, I'm about to go feed my rabbit. Do you want to come out with me?"

"Sure!" Amu smiled, jumping outside with me.

Outside, I pulled a stake knife off of the top of the cage. Amu seemed to flinch, seeing me handle the knife so freely. I went over to patched of grass nearby and started chopping them down. I opened the cage and put the grass inside. The small rabbit came out of his hiding place. He was white with brown spots all over and a small diamond shape on his forehead. I petted him. "Do you want to pet him?" I asked Amu, putting the knife back atop the cage.

Amu nodded. "He's cute!" She said, placing her hand upon his forehead.

We went inside. "Are you a good cook?"

"Huh?" Amu asked, dumbfounded. "Err... sorta. Why?"

"You can help me with dinner."

"Um... I don't know about that," Amu said, laughing nervously.

The green guardian character of hers, Suu, smiled. "Don't worry!" she said with a reassuring tone, "Leave it to Suu! Desu~" Her pink eggbeater appeared in her small hand. "From a girl who can't cook to one who can! Chara Change! Chip, Syrup, Whip!"

I saw Amu's X clips change to green clovers. "I'll help!" She said, rather cutesy.

I smiled, as if I hadn't noticed the change. "Alright."

We had a fun time cooking. With Suu's skills, Amu was a great cook. Dinner was delicious.



"Err... guess I should be going now," Amu said.

"Oh, no, you can stay," I smiled, "You can sleep in Alex's bed. He won't mind. I'll just sleep in the living room."

"Oh, really? Thank you!" Amu said.

At this point I realized I had to act surprised, seeing a girl in my bed at the time. And that's exactly what I did later on, when Alex got home and Allie left for "Grandma's".

Later that night I snuck into my room, when Amu was asleep. I grabbed a pair of male clothes and stuffed my female clothes at the back of my closet.



"A-Amu-chan," I said, as I stood in the doorway as Alex. I looked at Amu, who was messily sleeping in my bed. My character, Saiyuki (who I called Sai when I was male), was flying up to the three red, blue, and green eggs and knocking on their shells.

"Huuuh..." she said sleepily, then jerked up. "Ah! Alex! Err... you see I sorta came over thinking the sleepover was yesterday and Allie invited me to stay. Hey, where is she?"

"Oh... that Allie. She went to grandma's a few minutes ago." It was silent for a few minutes. "So... Four today?" I grinned.

Amu smiled. "I'll be there."

"Do you have to change?" I asked.

"Uh... yeah."

"Use this room. I'll use the bathroom." I said, grabbing my uniform and closing the door.

Amu obviously was nervous. I finished dressing quickly and opened the door to get my bag, already forgetting Amu was in there. She was... shirtless. Luckily she was facing her back towards the door.

I tensed. I felt like a boy, blush spreading across my face. "Gomen nasai!*" I shouted quickly, turning around and shutting the door. That was probably the most embarrassing part of my day. I set breakfast on the table for Amu, grabbed my breakfast, shouted "I'm going to school!" and walked out of the door.
